H-D Connect Location and updating info.

Hey folks. So I'm new to the LiveWire and have a quick question about the H-D Connect. The app is showing last known location as wherever my phone is not the bike. Also I noticed the info on the bikes status doesn't update very frequently. I got out for a short ride Jan 29th and that was the last time it updated. Is this normal behaviour for the app or is there a setting to make it update more frequently?

this is normal.

the bike has its own sim and cell service that reports back on automated times (have not checked when/how often.)

if you refresh the app, it generally updates, but if it is having cell or GPS connectivity issues, it will not be able to update as easily, if at all.

there is no speed change option in the app, less changing the code in it, recompiling and reinstalling your updated version. hard, but not impossible.

You also have to ask the app to update often. By selecting the bike. Sometimes it just displays the cached location. The App sucks. I wish I could just get text messages instead.

Yeah maybe the bike isn't getting any service inside my baby barn. It still hasn't updated since the 29th when I last rode it.

can you put it near a window or something? that's a little thinner just to see if it'll get signal? there is a cell service indicator that you can turn on to show whether or not the bike has cell service.

upper right cog, notification settings, security notifications
