This from CEO Matt Levatich back in July:
“We made a deliberate decision to launch a halo product to demonstrate what’s possible in electric -- a no-excuses electric Harley-Davidson -- and we feel very good that we’ve done that,” Levatich said during an earnings call in July.

I guess from the CEO quote he is quite happy with the hole in rear fender. I hope he enjoys all the water, dirt and mud thrown up his backside! Pay $30,000 and the owners have to correct design stupidity! I covered mine with duct tape.

Mac- that's a sexy modification!!
I was looking at that fender the other day and I think it needs to be removed entirely. The signals and plate need to be moved up under the back seat. Look at the blue Livewire at the very beginning of this video to see what they did to the bikes from Long Way Up: http://https://www.instagram.com/p/B6EVSGuBVnL/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading
Once that fender comes off, then I'm planning on taking the passenger pegs and brackets off. I bet that's going to be 15 pounds or more....

Hey Cybrdyke. Exactly what I'm thinking of doing about the signals and plate. The duct tape is a quick fix if I get stuck in a rain or wet roads. I mentioned that stupid fender to my white gloves rep.
