Hi everyone, I am a long time motorcycle and Harley Davidson lover. I am new to the world of electric motorcycles. I fell in love with the Livewire watching the Ewan McGregor road trip show. I test drove a LiveWire One at my local Harley dealership and was instantly hooked. I bought a Livewire through the website a couple of weeks ago. I've had such a mixed experience with it.

It was delivered from the dealership without any issues. I took it out for my first ride and it broke down on me within 2 miles of my house. The screen started to go haywire cycling though menus and then the bike stopped. Thankfully I was at a light when it happened and I was able to walk the bike into the parking lot adjacent to the light. I tried to power off / on the bike and it would boot up into the screen with the "Remove Plug to Ride" screen. Of course, being out on the road the bike was not plugged in.

I called the dealership and they had to come and tow the bike. They've had it for over a week. I stopped by the dealership to check on the bike and they all told me they had never seen this type or error. The tech told me the screen several times repeated the same issues with going haywire. Hopefully it's something they can work out.

I feel really uncomfortable about taking the bike, assuming they can fix it, figuring that it's brand new. Is this something I should worry about or should I have them get me a new bike?

I have to say that the customer support and regular communication from LiveWire and Harley has been first class.

I'd appreciate any feedback from more experienced LiveWire One users.

Since you say LW1 - make sure your dealer techs are getting on the phone with the Livewire techs. You might even want to call the Livewire techs yourself and explain what happened and who now has it.

Usually with the help of the Livewire techs the Dealer can sort out a problem pretty quickly.

I wouldn't worry about it too much... as long as they don't jerk you around. Mine had screen issues at the start also, and they had to replace the dash (instrument.) Hopefully, it's a reasonably easy repair, (less the time it's taking to research it.) fingers crossed. *side note, I've yet to have any more issues with my dash (as a result anything tied to it either.)
