I just bought, but haven't installed, the hand guards and something like hippo hands. That may be a good stop gap for now. I also have some nice eletric mitts power by a lithium battery that will run on high longer than the LW can run at freeway speeds. So might be the best option for now.

Yeah I was at REI the other night and bought a bunch of chemical hand and foot warmers.. Send picts when you do the hand gards. I think they will clear the wind screen I just can't tell about the mirror stuff.
The „Silent Alarm“ Livewire custom build (also featured on Bikeexif) by Jens vom Brauck, a German customizer/motorcycle designer, uses an aftermarket shock from „ Sport Evolution“ (custom shop which usually builds air-cooled BMWs and also provides suspension parts.) Unfortunately, I have no further information about the shock itself or its make, price and availability yet. From the pictures you would assume that the shock is somewhat longer as the rear of the bike seems to sit a bit higher.
