Pictures of CSS DC Fast Chargers that don't work

Simple thread with picts of chargers that don't work. Ideally don't post units you think are just broken or in a state of dis repair. That is a different problem. These should be units that other folks are using just fine with no consistent negative reports in plugshare. These just don't work for us. Ideally that you have tested in multiple locations. Below are some suggested notes you could add. I didn't specify because I don't know the type of charger, except chargepoint. The others are all some company that AE, PGE, EVGO, or whoever are buying. But feel free to post these.

  • the type of charger it is;
  • the location of the charger; and,
  • the date that the charger failed to charge a Livewire.
If you have comments on this thread I propose we discuss over here on this thread. I am hoping this thread is data only. Started two separate thread with photos of chargers.

Verified at two locations. However these look identical to the ones tcypher was able to get to work. I have asked him if there was magic.

So maybe, if people are going to post pictures of chargers that didn't workfor the Livewire, they could be captioned with:
  • the type of charger it is;
  • the location of the charger; and,
  • the date that the charger failed to charge a Livewire.

This would add some significance to the photos.
I feel like CP chargers often have "communication errors" which is really annoying.
'specially for the HD ones... 'cause (as far as I know) we get it for free... or I have since '19
It just takes multiple tries to get it to initiate, after tapping, waiting for auth and then plugging in.
Only the Harley's. Livewires didn't come with that. But yeah I would be doubly pissed on that front.

Depending on the make of the charger as well as their software.

I have an LW1 Livewire and I get free HD charging.

I don't get the free Electrify America charging. That was ELW only.

I guess maybe it's my dealer had a functuoning charger. Get Paradise get your stuff together.

it was also only for two years. I'm paying regular prices now, which are more expensive than filling my sportsters 3gl tank, (if I fill it to 100%.)
I no longer do that (only to 80%) unless I REALLY need that 20%, which often I don't, 'cause I can hit up another station to get to 80% again for less than the 30 extra minutes it takes to get that extra 20% and more cost.

Dang WA sales tax. We have completely ruined this thread. Alas. No where close to 3G of super unleaded for me to fill in OR. I guess I am rarely that low. I think I mostly pay in the low %.40's. x 12 ish kWh. How do you get to $12?

the last time I charged to 100% at EA, it cost me nearly $18. I learned my lesson.

That is nuts.I have yet to break $10 in the PDX metro Willamette valley.
Only thing worse the SaaS and software licensing scheme's. High speed DC charging pricing. Well maybe they on similar levels.

I am getting better at knowing range + SOC... where if I ONLY need a 10% boost to get home from where I am, then I charge just a smidgen over that (for precaution) and then charge the rest at home... where it cost me less than $1 to charge from 0-100%

Here in NS and our neighbour, New Brunswick the fast chargers are mostly $15/hour I'm going to assume you are billed by the minute though, haven't had the opportunity to use one yet. $15 CND is roughly $11.20 USD. I had a look at PEI on Plugshare and they look to be charging $20/hour.

yup, exactly, "by the minute". Really a PITA for when it slows down at 80%
