Pictures of DC CCS Fast chargers that work

Lets keep this simple. Just photo. Any footnotes to getting it to work. Ideally that you have used multiple times at multiple locations.

Below are some suggested notes you could add. I didn't specify because I don't know the type of charger, except chargepoint. The others are all some company that AE, PGE, EVGO, or whoever are buying. But feel free to post these.

  • the type of charger it is;
  • the location of the charger; and,
  • the date that the charger failed to charge a Livewire.
If you have comments on this thread I propose we discuss over here on this thread. I am hoping this thread is data only. Started two separate thread with photos of chargers.

I did struggle to get this or a very similar model to work at a different location. Trying mulitple units. I think it might have been user error. This particular station has always been rock solid. I do find the EA interface to be very confusing.

well, I've got a ton of DCF charging photos... but I won't overload the thread and just post one.
EA, Charge Point and EVGO are the ones I use most... EA is the most common.
EA and CP are the most problematic, often taking more than one try, three or more - to start.

Sounds like tcypher has different experiences with these AE ones. He uses the app. I have only been using my credit card with them. I will test with the app and if it works remove my post of them not working.

despite the app, they really suck and quick starting. While our charge times may be fast, you could take 5-10 minutes or more to just get it going.
BUT, I have found the app a bit more friendly that way.

Shell recharge greenlots, PGE electric avenue Portland Oregon area charging stations. Beaverton, Wilsonville, Portland. These now work with firmware update March 2023.

Electrify America about half the chargers in Portland are this kind. These now work with firmware update March 2023. The other ones worked previously.
