I tried the Italian accessory, but did not help at all. There are no extenders in the HD Parts Book. Very annoying.

Is it a style joice ( like the rear hugger cut out) to not have too big mirrors? just the minimum for the regulation or using generic parts ?.....

that's me... for sure.

less is more. :D
Those mirrors are really generic - I recognized them immediately from my 20 year old Dyna...

I used the chrome Mirror Extension Kit - 91907-87 Mirror Extension Kit - 91907-87 | Harley-Davidson USA and painted them black. Not perfect but better than stock.

Has anyone tried bar-end mirrors — H-D’s or aftermarket? Any feedback? If so, how did you deal with the grips — replaced or modified?

Updated the mount again using two different Rizoma extender kits - had to modify bits to make it work but it is much better than the original HD curved extenders I posted earlier. Note the Puig Trend Windscreen.

Finally got the mirrors in a position that works, allowing me to see what's behind me and not just my biceps or hips (LOL!!). It's kind of Rube Goldberg-esque using a combination of H-D's and Krator's extensions. I tried each kit separately, both above and below the handgrips and this is the best setup for seeing behind me. It unfortunately is the least esthetically pleasing solution. I wish H-D or some aftermarket mfr. would build a pair of L O N G stemmed mirrors!

Quick shots of the detail on throttle side. I will post a pick of the whole bike when I get it outside again. Note I decided on gloss finish extenders for now but have the matte ones too.
Hi Frank, Thank you for posting these photos. Would you mind sharing the length of these mirrors and also how much the extender adaptors move them outward? I'd like to compare to other mirrors, extenders/adaptors etc. to help order something I know will work.
Just a quick tip for those with the stock mirrors. If you loosen the screws on the switch covers and handle bar controls an rotate them back toward the rider, this will raise the height of the mirrors and give you some more visibility. Some fine adjustments and they work not too bad for someone who isn't really wide in the shoulders...
