I'm sold! I just got back from a bicycle ride using the same mount as on my Livewire. Paved trail, and by the end my iPhone was resting loose on the mount. One medium bump and it was falling for sure.
Only big difference in our set-up is I have my mirrors under. Couldn't see a thing behind me before the shift. Could be a policeman with lights running, and I'd never know.
Going to order the Quadlock for both bikes now....

UPDATE: Just ordered the Quadlock pro motorcycle mount and the vibration damping. I went cheaper on the bicycle as my bicycle has a great front shock and I'm currently riding smooth paved trails. But for my take, the Livewire suspension is awesome! In speaking with a Harley engineer just a few days ago, he said they went all-out on the suspension. He called it the best suspension system Harley has ever put on a bike. His comment, not mine.

The rest of you are undoubtedly saying duh to this post, but the Quadlock looks great on the Livewire, and it's so cool! Put one on my bicycle too. I should never have cheaped out with a traditional holder, and I'm glad I didn't lose my iPhone in the process of using the older ones. Great product! Now I want a Quadlock mount wherever I go!

I'll add that I sent back the older iPhone 13 pro case and bought the newer one. Very sleek. Makes my previous Otterbox case look and feel like a brick.

OK parts arriving today. Figured with my "gold wing" wind screen @waveshrdr I would mount to the wind screen struts. Given the one story of a dead dash from rain I went with the aftermarket port. Will save the on board one for traveling or accessories some day.

The bike's 12vdc connector for Parts and Accessories, located in front of the rear wheel and under the rear shock. It draws power from the RESS and not the 12vdc battery. It is capped until an owner decides to use it.

Can you describe the route you used? Did you just use zip ties to attach? Part arrive today.

Good the phone is a bit more prominent in my view then I would prefer. I think I just need to lower the brightness on it before I attach. Otherwise worked quite well so far. Phone felt safe. I am liking the wind screen.

Looks cool. Don't forget quadlock has an adapter so you can adjust the angle. It is their little knuckle adaptor. I've used on some of my other motorcycles to help with the viewing angle.

Yeah. I thought about that but that brings it further towards me and the tank bag. Might even add weather exposure? It is an option. I really don't want to be looking at the phone while riding anyway. Just wanted reliable charging.

yeah, I will say, I don't like things sticking off my bars (personally), but this scenario has made me better at listening to my instructions in my helmet. win win.

My other issue is I try to limit how often I plug my phone in. My dumb van has andriod auto but only works with the plug. So I would just have run the cable into my bag and been done with it. Like you. But the advantage of not having to plug in and not have a dead phone. I considered one of those battery packs that are wireless and you just wrap the phone to them. I have found the phone is kinda required for any multi hop trips. Whether it is finding a charger or just having precise distance estimates. I can see how the electric bike really ties me to the phone and being online. Maybe some day the range and number of charging stations will be enough. Or maybe I will just know the routes well enough not to need it. But also music so... Maybe save my unplugged time for when I am peddling.

indeed. I keep mine in my pocket unless it needs a charge and then I plug it into the bike and either slip it under my seat or put it in my pocket, whichever is more convenient. But I agree, there are def needs. I listen to music a lot when I ride also... so there's one.

I have to admit the bluetooth control is super nice. Even though the layout of buttons feels pretty meh.

So I asked for an estimate. They were surprised the old pigtail was gone. The one that was wired into the battery. They wanted $140 an hour to hack it back in... Maybe but I would rather it not be on the battery but maybe it doesn't matter. I reached out the Livewire but haven't gotten a clear response. I wonder if the pig tail was from the factory? They wired it in through the speaker snap in ports locking the cover on the battery box over the wire. Had to pull the battery to remove it and the cover. I really don't think these guys know what they are doing.

I suppose $70 to ensure I have no warranty issues? Feels like theft. I mean should the belt be out of adjustment after 1000 after the service? Meh maybe it isn't worth my trouble fighting it.

Lots of options from ali express. I am not sure I am super comfortable with complex solution on the prior thread. Though it seems the right way to do it.

Anyone using the QL mount with an iPhone MagSafe compatible one? How has that been working out? Does it still charge ok on the normal Apple charger?

On the Livewire are you mounting to the mirror mount or the handlebar, or some other place? I want to get something and debating between the QL and going another Ram mount like I've done in the past.

I am using the normal quadlock case and it doesn't effect wireless charging at all. Wish it was a bit bigger on my Pixel 6 Pro but probably fine. Did get the poncho and it looks like it will work well in my setup.
