Does anyone on this forum actually own a Livewire? I'm in Texas and have had a preorder since January. My dealer has no idea when they will get a Livewire in! They keep me updated weekly and no word on when my bike will arrive. They also say Harley does not give them much help on delivery or production info. They are as aggravated on HD as I am!

Same thing for me.

My status bike is on HD SAP is still "in production" since July!

Last update from yesterday, it will live the US on November 5th which means December 5th in France.....................maybe!

HD is really a bunch of AH not even helping their dealers in anyways.

A lot of noise for a production stoppage due to a single bike issue while not giving the beginning of an explanation for being late since August!

Could have they done worse?

Still waiting

I also have a preorder in since January. And my dealer has no clue either. I know for a fact that the bikes are rolling out the back door of the factory in York Pennsylvania. I know the ceo of hd took delivery of his but as for anyone else no.
I’ve ridden this awesome bike twice, first on the formula e track in Brooklyn then again at my ordering dealer HD of Baltimore Md. This bike is worth waiting for. I remember waiting on a list for sixteen months for my 97 wide glide.

Congrats ! Hope your weathers better than here Mac Mike.
Got word that mine is on the schedule for December 13 but that could change. Maybe I’ll have it for Christmas and a New Year polar ride.

Situation is not getting any better!
In a week time my bike status has moved from November 5th to November 18th............................. and suddenly to production rescheduled!
How **** is it possible?
Icing on the cake, nobody is willing to say anything about the situation. Dealers can not get any direct answers, they have to communicate by mail with HD.
It is a very curious situation knowing they have been ask to be prepared by the end of August with investments such as power charger..........
HD couldn't care less about customers..........

Looks like they could care less about their dealers also!

Where are they?
If we take into account the fact that HD expect to sale around 1000 Livewire per year, on average 80 each month should leave the factory.
To launch it in August for everyone means starting production in June to have some bikes available in stores (show & trial).
We are now in November, 5 months x 80 bikes that's a total of 400 Livewire in the wild
But none have been seen!
Are we all dummies?

My order was validated on July 19th.

So far my dealer doesn't even knows when he will get their two bikes. Apparently he was told last week that I would probably get mine before them.
More info to come today (I hope) as decision was taken last week by HD France to announce ones for all, realistic and firm deliveries schedule.
As mentioned elsewhere on this forum, my shipping date was at last attempt November 5th before becoming "to be rescheduled"

Indeed if HD can still be trusted......
Early adopters will get their bike beginning of December (but for sure by the end of December for all).
Dealers will get a demo bike end of January mid February
Customer order booked since October 1st can expect delivery starting end of February.

While waiting

I decided to find a 2020 Zero sr/f and go have a look. I didn’t get to ride it yet but am going to schedule one soon. First impression is WOW very nice fit and finish. Seems to have everything Livewire has plus heated grips and a more comfortable seat. No DC fast charge option but premium model has pretty good speeds for fast charging. Haven’t done the math yet though I have done the research on Zero am impressed with what they have done and where they are going. Maybe someone can tell me why I should buy a Livewire.
$19,799 for 2020 Zero sr/f demo bike with 15 miles from dealer showroom Or 2020 HD Livewire $25,000 with employee discount-$1000 down payment dealers had since Jan. To be delivered.........?
